Last year I decided that I needed new laundry machines to help the environment! Really I just liked the look of them, but don't tell Handy Husband that! although, living on a well, it does use a lot less water than our old washer. We bought Whirlpool Duets, and I love the many features, especially the steam dryer that eliminates the need for my iron. Who likes to iron?
Lee Valley Tools.
I was in an open house once where all of the cabinets, counter tops and light fixtures were the same throughout the entire house, and decided that when I had the chance to achive that cohesion that I would. ( Our light fixtures in the main part of the house are all the same, and many people have commented on that) Anyway, couldn't justify granite in the laundry room, but the dark counter top works. We added the same backsplash tile as our kitchen, and voila, a rejuvenated laundry area for about $1000 for the cabinetry and tiles. Watch for an upcoming post that highlights the rustic antique shelf that is above the backsplash.
