Window Frame turned Picture Frame

This old, weathered window frame was in my Brother in Law's shed, but don't tell him because he might want it back when he sees how fabulous it turned out.  It was grimy, cobwebby (is that a word) and was a little bit beaten up, but once more I had a vision, and only a little bit of work for handy husband.

Some Murphy's oil soap, and a good scrub and then a fresh coat of white paint, that was left over from another project, and we had turned an old, weathered window frame into a shabby chic picture frame.

I left the window hardware in tact, and the left corner is a little bit beaten up (just adds to the character in my opinion) and had Jeff attach the eye hooks and wire to the back.

I chose family pictures from when the kids were little, up until our recent family vacation, printed them in black and white and had a completed piece for under $10.

This long wall in our family room has been waiting for a focal point for a long time.  This is a great foundation piece that I plan on adding to.  You never know what other treasure is hiding in that shed!
